1:1 SEMH Support Assistant – Specialist School, Gateshead
Some pupils need a calm, steady person in their corner and that might be you. We’re supporting a specialist school in the Gateshead area that’s looking for a 1:1 SEMH Support Assistant to start immediately who can offer patience, consistency, and a bit of gentle humour on the tougher days.
This setting supports young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs, so no two days look the same. One moment you might be helping a pupil settle into a morning routine, the next you might be supporting them to regulate, reconnect, and re-engage with learning. If you enjoy helping pupils feel grounded and understood, you’ll be right at home.
