If you’re someone who brings patience, kindness, and a steady presence to every day, this could be a brilliant role for you.

We’re supporting a welcoming school that’s looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a pupil who needs consistent guidance to feel settled and confident in class. You’ll be the familiar face they trust and the person who helps turn the tricky moments into achievable steps forward.

No experience? No problem.

Experience is desirable, especially if you’ve worked with children, young people, or in care and support roles. But it’s not essential. The school is much more interested in finding someone who is:

  • Calm and reassuring

  • Patient and compassionate

  • Open to learning new strategies

  • Comfortable building strong, supportive relationships

If you’ve got the right attitude, we can help you build the skills.

Your day-to-day

  • Supporting one pupil throughout their school day

  • Using visuals, routines, and simple strategies to keep them engaged

  • Helping them navigate transitions and regulate emotions

  • Working closely with the teacher, SENCO, and support staff

  • Creating a safe, predictable space where your pupil can make real progress

What the school is looking for

  • A warm, reliable person who genuinely enjoys helping young people

  • Someone who can remain calm during wobbly moments

  • A good communicator who works well in a team

  • A positive mindset and willingness to learn

Why join us

  • Weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella deductions

  • Free CPD through our online training academy, including Thrive

  • Support throughout your placement from your own consultant

  • Opportunities to grow into SEN, mainstream, or alternative provision roles

  • A rewarding role where you make a real difference every day
