We’re looking for a brilliant 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join a friendly school in [location]. This role is all about being that steady presence a pupil can rely on, someone who helps them feel safe enough to learn and confident enough to try again.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting one pupil with behavioural and emotional needs

Building trust through clear routines, patience, and consistency

Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo

Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them

Supporting de-escalation and modelling positive behaviour
What we’re looking for

Experience supporting children or young people who struggle with behaviour
-
A calm, positive, genuinely caring approach

Someone who can think on their feet and bring ideas, not stress
-
Strong communication, empathy, and a team-player mindset
-
Bonus if you have experience with trauma-informed practice or Thrive (if you’re not Thrive trained, we’ll help you access it for free)
