We’re working with specialist SEN schools in Durham looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH, autism, and behavioural needs.

What your day might include:

  • Supporting one pupil to stay regulated, focused, and safe

  • Helping manage behaviour using consistent, trauma-informed approaches

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Celebrating the small wins, because they matter

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have experience with SEN, SEMH, behaviour support, or care

  • Stay calm when things feel challenging

  • Believe behaviour is communication, not defiance
