A brilliant specialist school in Gateshead is looking for a 1:1 SEMH Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. Supporting one pupil with significant social, emotional, or behavioural needs

What we’re looking for

Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or complex backgrounds

Someone who can keep calm during meltdowns, step-backs and tricky moments

A warm, patient communicator who builds trust slowly and respectfully

Confidence using de-escalation strategies or a willingness to learn

An understanding of how early experiences impact behaviour and wellbeing
