We’re working with a range of supportive secondary schools across Sunderland who are seeking a confident and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, you’ll support pupils aged 11–16 with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties. This isn’t just classroom support. It’s relationship-building. It’s helping young people feel understood, safe and capable.
What you’ll be doing as a SEND Teaching Assistant (Secondary):

We’re looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who:
Experience in PRU, alternative provision or youth work is highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
