Computer Science / Computing Teacher

The role

A well-regarded secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Computer Science / Computing Teacher to join its department. The role includes teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available for experienced candidates.

The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons covering programming, algorithms, data representation and cybersecurity fundamentals, while preparing pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Teach programming (e.g. Python) and core theoretical concepts

• Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE (and A-Level where applicable)

• Use assessment data to track and improve progress

The ideal candidate

• QTS (or equivalent)

• Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge in programming and theory

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
