Teaching Assistant

Do you enjoy being around young people? Are you confident, energetic and happy to get stuck in - whether that’s supporting learning in class or joining a game of football at break?

We’re recruiting Teaching Assistants for supportive secondary schools across Tyne and Wear. These are term-time only roles, so you must be available during school term dates and able to commit to full school days.

This is not a “stand at the back” kind of job. You’ll be:

• Supporting students in lessons

• Helping improve literacy and confidence

• Playing football at break

• Getting involved in ping pong or supervised PlayStation at lunch

• Building real, positive relationships every day

Perfect for people from backgrounds such as:

• Sports coaching

• Youth work

• Childcare

• Mentoring

• Care or support work

• Graduates considering teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
