Teacher of Physical Education

The Role

A well-established 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland is seeking an energetic and committed Teacher of Physical Education to join its successful PE department. The role involves teaching practical and theory PE across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available for suitably experienced candidates.

You will deliver high-quality lessons that promote teamwork, resilience and physical literacy, while preparing pupils effectively for GCSE and A-Level PE examinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory PE lessons

• Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

• Support GCSE and A-Level examination preparation

• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

• Experience teaching GCSE PE (A-Level desirable)

• Ability to inspire participation and high performance

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
