The Role

A well-established 11–19 secondary school in Northumberland is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join its dynamic Languages department. The successful candidate will teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience.

You will inspire students to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing, fostering a love of languages and global awareness.

£163 – £265.52 per day | MPS/UPS Equivalent | PAYE

  • Supportive and collaborative MFL department

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4

  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations

  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress

  • Promote cultural awareness and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge in French and/or Spanish

  • Passion for language learning and cultural education

  • High expectations for achievement and behaviour

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
