Classroom Support Assistant - Entry Level

This community-focused Gateshead primary school (around 310 pupils) is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant to work across KS1 and KS2. The Headteacher believes personality is more important than experience and is happy to train the right person.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils during lessons

• Helping children stay focused and engaged

• Assisting with classroom organisation

• Encouraging positive behaviour

• Supporting children who may need extra reassurance

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

• Patient and approachable

• Confident speaking with children and adults

• Resilient and able to stay calm

• Proactive and reliable

• Willing to follow guidance

Training & Support:

• Full safeguarding training

• Behaviour management guidance

• Ongoing support from experienced staff

• Gradual increase in responsibility
