As a SEN Primary Teacher, you’ll know that progress doesn’t always look like test scores or neat exercise books.

The role

You’ll be teaching pupils with autism and SEMH needs, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and rediscover a love of learning.

You’ll need resilience, patience and creativity, but the rewards are powerful. The steps forward your pupils make, often against the odds, will stay with you long after the school day ends.

You’ll be supported by a strong multi-disciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists and specialist professionals, all working together to give pupils the best possible outcomes.

The school is a purpose-built, modern SEN setting supporting up to 50 pupils aged 8–16.

You’ll be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS

• Passionate about SEN and inclusive education

• A team player with a practical, ‘can-do’ approach

• Confident building strong relationships with pupils

• Creative in adapting learning to meet individual needs

• Keen to help shape and grow a specialist setting

Previous experience in SEN or SEMH is beneficial, but the right attitude and commitment are just as important.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
