Lead SEND Teacher

Are you an ambitious and experienced educator ready to take a leading role in specialist teaching? We are looking for a Lead SEND Teacher in Sunderland to spearhead inclusive practice and curriculum development for learners with complex needs.

In this role you will contribute to strategic planning, support less experienced staff and ensure teaching approaches are evidence-based and responsive to pupil needs. You will champion high expectations and support meaningful outcomes across the setting.

Core Responsibilities:
• Lead on curriculum adaptation and specialised teaching strategies.
• Mentor staff and model best inclusive practices.
• Coordinate with support services and families.
• Monitor and evaluate pupil progress across programmes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
