Headteacher Interviews – Newport School

06/12/14

Prue Barnes is the respected headteacher of Newport Primary School in Leyton, East London. Originally trained in Australia, she came to England as a supply teacher 19 years ago; since then she has taught across London and, as she moved into more senior roles, has helped a number of failing schools to become successful.

In this video, Prue describes Newport Primary School, and also talks about what it means for a supply teacher to work at a school in 'special measures'.
