Headteacher Interviews – Finding Work

04/12/14

Prue Barnes is the respected headteacher of Newport Primary School in Leyton, East London. Originally trained in Australia, she came to England as a supply teacher 19 years ago; since then she has taught across London and, as she moved into more senior roles, has helped a number of failing schools to become successful.

In this video, Prue discusses the availability of work for supply teachers, outlines what she looks for when recruiting a teacher trained outside of England, and gives a tip for writing CVs.
