Job description
A north Leicestershire Primary School has an ongoing requirement for a Yr1 Primary Teacher to start in November 2017. The school has a great reputation and is rated good' by Ofsted. The school looks after the education of around 300 pupils across early years, KS1, KS2 and has a small SEND provision.

As the Year 1 class teacher you will support the learning and development of pupils within a highly motivating and engaging year group. You will continue the great progress the class teacher has made this academic year and continue to inspire and engage children's ability to make fantastic progress in the classroom. You will have some involvement in developing the curriculum for the remainder of the term and support pupils who have struggled to make progress in certain areas. Within each class there is a small percentage of children with EAL and SEND who will require your expertise to ensure their progress stays on track. You will work closely with teaching and learning support teams to promote a mutual understanding of the school curriculum with the aim of improving learning opportunities in the classroom.

You will be a qualified teacher with demonstrable experience teaching within primary settings. You will ideally be seasoned supply teacher who is able to make the transition into a new school as effortless as possible. The school will gladly assist you with planning and preparation but ask that you are happy to undertake marking as appropriate. Experience of Phonics, Read Write Inc, EAL and SEND and an inclusive approach to teaching is essential.
