Job description

Protocol Education are currently working with a number of schools in Berwick and the Scottish Borders to recruit support staff to work in a number of middle and high schools in the area. Successful candidates will be required to work on an ad-hoc basis, usually between 3-5 days a week.


This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in:

• Youth Work
• Support work and residential care
• Learning Mentoring
• Prison officers/ tutors
• Police
• Military
• Graduates in Psychology


The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience with children and young people
• Have a confident and friendly personality
• Remain calm in stressful situations
• Show a genuine interest of working with children and young people
• Show a desire to motivate disengaged learners
• Availability to work between 3-5 days per week
