Job description
Youth worker

Youth workers required in Primary schools ASAP.

Day-to-day/ long term temporary positions available.

We are currently recruiting for youth workers in various schools across East London.

As a youth worker you will actively engage with students to promote interaction and co-operation with other students whilst ensuring that pupils make the most from curriculum based learning activities. You will have a great opportunity to support the teacher with classroom planning and behaviour management as well as monitoring and recording pupil's response to learning activities and general records.

As a youth worker you will go the extra mile for each individual child. You will be supporting the children through all aspects of daily and educational life, including:
•Attending to their physical and emotional needs
•Encouraging independence
•Supporting them through school
•Encourage the to partake in social activities and pursue hobbies
•Monitor and evaluate the quality of youth work activities, supporting young people in the evaluation of the activities and the impact of youth work on their development

The successful candidate will be working with a range of children; from EBD students and other associated challenging behaviour to gifted and talented. You will be expected to use your own initiative and set a positive example to pupils to ensure as much progress as possible with their work and behaviour.
