Do you think you have what it takes to be a positive role model to SEN youths?

As a Youth Mentor your role will require dedication, confidence and determination as you may need to handle challenging situations strongly, therefore you will need to be prepared. You will need to be flexible, have plenty of enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work 1:1 or with small groups across multiple age groups on specific programmes if required.

The education facility is a thriving and vibrant learning environment where all students are challenged to work to the very best of their ability. They pride themselves in listening and collaboration, working closely with a wide range of teams within the NHS, who ensure that all children within our community benefit from and enjoy a combined and consistent support.

You will need to have the confidence, self-esteem and independence to support children in social activities in and out of school. You will be involved in creating an individual plan for each child and always reporting their feedback to their parents/carers. The main aim is to provide each individual child with confidence by putting your full focus on the child's needs.

This school has full time roles available at present so to be considered for this role, you must be available 5 days a week, Mon - Fri and be able to work between the hours of 08.30 - 16.00.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00
