As a Youth Support Worker your role will be to provide support and encouragement, with the vision to transform a young person's life for the better, through positive relationships and engaged learning, so that they may become happy and active citizens in their community.

You will face some challenging behaviour; therefore, you will need to be strong and ready for daily challenges. You will need to be flexible, have plenty of passion, enthusiasm, good communication skills and have the capacity to work 1:1 or with small groups across multiple age groups.

A vital part of your role will be to build upon the foundation of the school's curriculum providing high quality teaching and learning.

This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2020/2021 academic school year, with a competitive salary.


·Managing pupil's behaviour
·Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher.
·Helping the students with their life skills

For this role, you will have:

·Experience working in specialist schools such as SEN schools, Pupil Referral Units or in Youth Work.
·Previous support work within a school or other child related experience.
·Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour.
·Happy to work one to one and small group work.
·An enthusiastic and friendly, yet firm approach.
