Young Persons Support Worker - Burton-on-Trent

Are you looking for a full-time contract in the Burton-on-Trent area working with young people with additional needs & behaviours?

Do you have experience and training working within Residential Care?

We are looking for an outstanding Support Worker to work with young people aged generally between 11-17 who have learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

Your contract will initially be short term (12 - 16 weeks) and will be based on a regular working week (hours / times).

So, what is the role of a Support Worker?

Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
Providing educational support for various academic qualifications.
Supporting and helping with health care needs.
Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
