I am looking to recruit a number of residential support workers with experience of working with children and young people for my client based in HD6.

The client is a school with residential capacity for a number of their learners, who are aged 5-19. All of the learners have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and many also have a diagnosis of autism and other complex learning needs.

Your duties will include transitioning learners from the classroom back to their residential setting within the grounds of the school, and engaging them with various vocational and life skill activities throughout the evening. The shift pattern is 2.30 - 9pm although this can be negotiated. The shifts run Monday to Friday. There is a specialist care team onsite who manage medical administration etc.

Applicants must have in date or recently lapsed Team Teach training, be eligible to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult workforces maintained on the update service.

Shifts are negotiable with placments starting immediately after the Easter break. Succesful candidates will be required to complete Safeguarding and Positive behaviour training online via Calderdale Council prior to commencing work.
