Year 6 children? Your preference? Or not? It takes a special, dedicated teacher to teach those big Primary school children. This two form entry school in the borough of Barnet are needing just that kind of teacher.

You will have experience teaching in the upper keys stage 2 years, ideally at least 2 years experience. You will have the strongest armoury of behaviour management techniques. You will be an approachable yet consistent teacher, with the innate ability to engage and motivate children. The school has recently been graded good in their Ofsted and the team of staff within the school are committed and dedicated to developing and supporting their pupils.

You will really be looking for a role where you can commit for a long term period, where you will happily become part of the school community. Living locally to Barnet would help as well as a second language.

Your role will include but not be limited to:

Planning a varied and challenging curriculum

Working cohesively with your cohorts

Undertaking the full responsibility of a class teacher

Safeguarding the interests of your children

Developing their education whilst offering a warm, secure and effective environment

You will hold:

QTS or you will be an exceptional strong NQT

A clear and current DBS (or willing to undertake one)

2 current references, one from the last teaching role you held

A warm, positive and committed attitude

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
