A high-achieving and supportive primary school is seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to lead a class through their final year of primary education.

This is a pivotal role within the school, requiring a confident practitioner who can prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad, engaging, and enriching curriculum. The school is looking for someone who can inspire pupils, build their confidence, and ensure they are fully prepared for the transition to secondary school.

You will benefit from a strong leadership team, excellent resources, and a collaborative upper KS2 team who work closely together to share planning and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments

  • Track and monitor pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes

  • Provide targeted interventions where necessary

  • Support pupils’ emotional and academic readiness for secondary school

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6

  • QTS (Essential)

  • Full Time only

  • Be confident with SATs preparation and assessment frameworks

  • Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour

  • Be resilient, organised, and able to motivate learners effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
