Protocol Education are currently working with a Primary School in Westminster who are looking for a SEND TA to join them in their Year 6 class.

This is a full-time, term-time post which will run for the full academic year.

This school is located close to Kensal Rise and is accessible via overground and tube.

For the strongest candidate, this may lead to a permanent position at the school.

Interviews and trials are taking place immediately.

About the school:

Based in Westminster, this mainstream Primary School has a number of students with ASD. They are proud of their SEN offer and the successful applicant would be joining a team of experienced SEND TA’s who go above and beyond to ensure the quality of care and learning taking place is too a high standard.

The successful candidate will be well supported within their role and can expect ongoing training from SLT.

About the Role:

You will be working with a child in Year 6 who has ASD.

The child can have physical outbursts therefore it is essential you have experience of de-escalating difficult situations.

The child is currently working to a Year 3 level and part of your role would be to work closely with him, the class teacher and the SENDCO to make academic progress.

What we need from you: 

If you have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or are passionate about improving the outcomes for young people, this is the role for you.

 As an individual you will be passionate about supporting SEND children and this will be evident in your positive approach on a daily basis.

It is desired (although not essential) that applicants have a qualification in Team Teach and experience in working with children with SEND.
