Job Title: Year 3 Class Teacher – Outstanding School

An Ofsted-rated Outstanding mainstream primary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive school that is recognised for its excellent standards, strong leadership, and positive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for a Year 3 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum expectations
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and support achievement
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and personal development
  • Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Contribute to wider school life and uphold the values and ethos of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (Year 3 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Be confident in classroom and behaviour management
  • Be passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and improving pupil outcomes
  • Be a reflective practitioner who works well as part of a team
  • Show commitment to maintaining the high standards expected within an Outstanding school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
