Year 2 Teacher

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Shirehampton looking for a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity in a supportive school with a strong community feel and a leadership team that values collaboration, wellbeing, and high-quality teaching. The school is looking for someone who can create an engaging classroom environment and support pupils through this important stage of their primary education.

The role

As the Year 2 Teacher, you’ll:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils’ development in reading, writing and maths
• Prepare pupils for end of KS1 assessments in a calm and supportive way
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching to support individual needs
• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and parents

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2
• Delivers engaging and well-structured lessons
• Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is committed to supporting every child’s progress and wellbeing
