Job description
Protocol Education are working closely with a Primary School in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who require a Year 1 Primary Teacher to join their team for a maternity cover. The Year 1 Primary Teacher will be required to work full-time (Monday to Friday) for 1.5 terms (September 2016 - February 2017).

We are looking for a Primary Teacher who is able to plan, prepare and deliver high quality, engaging and creative lessons for children in Year 1. Sound knowledge of the Key Stage 1 Nation al Curriculum is essential.

This school continues to improve and invests highly in their staff team. The successful candidate will be working in a school that supports their teachers in achieving career aspirations, both in the classroom and into leadership.

Protocol Education and our Primary School client are accepting applications from all teachers, including NQTs. The minimum requirements are as follows:

- QTS Qualification or NQT, preferably with Induction year complete.

- 2 teaching references covering a minimum period of 2 years. Mentor reference for NQTs.

- Prior experience of teaching within Key Stage 1.

- Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Good organisational skills with high expectations of achievement and behaviour.

- Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and pupils.

- Good classroom management skills.

The successful applicant will be:

A teacher who can effectively challenge pupils to achieve, using a range of engaging methods and excellent communication skills. You will be approachable, organised with a good eye for detail, able to work under your own initiative to help raise attainment for your class. You will be able to demonstrate a consistent level of teaching ensuring delivery of quality lessons, adding value to pupils and school.
