A vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Watford is seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a key transition year, where children move from play-based learning into a more structured curriculum—and you’ll play a crucial role in making that journey smooth, engaging, and inspiring.

You’ll deliver creative and interactive lessons that build strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing, and maths, while continuing to nurture curiosity and confidence. The successful candidate will be someone who can strike the perfect balance between structure and fun.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
