Protocol Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in Colchester to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a long-term position until Easter, with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

• Full responsibility for a Year 1 class

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

• Supporting pupils with early phonics, literacy, and numeracy

• Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom

• Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1

• Confident with phonics and early learning strategies

• Committed, reliable, and passionate about children’s progress

• Open to a role that could develop into a permanent position
