Job description
Protocol Education are recruiting on behalf of a school in the Henbury area of Bristol for a Teaching Assistant from September. The role will be working full school time hours (8.30-3.30) 5 days per week on an ongoing basis until Christmas and potentially beyond. The position available is in a year 2 class.

You will require previous experience ideally of working with children of a primary age. Any qualifications will be beneficial but not essential.

In order to apply for this role you will/must:

-Be able to start from the 5th September
-Have current Key Stage 1 experience working in a Year 1 or Year 2 class
-Be able to teach phonics and have had experience of taking daily phonic groups
-Have experience of running intervention groups with children e.g. Numicon, Speech and Language or reading/writing booster groups
-Be flexible and adaptable
-Have an understanding of SEND
-Be able to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way
-Have an understanding of SATS would be ideal
-Be willing to carry out a lunch duty
