Job description
A happy and successful school in Chesterfield are looking to appoint an outstanding highly motivated and committed practitioner to join the team of staff to teach Year 2 children in Key Stage 1. The school are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who works with a clear focus on raising pupil attainment, has high expectations of learners and the ability to work as a team member. The school also require someone with a positive approach who can be creative, maximize the progress of all pupils, motivate learners, create a positive learning environment and adapt to new ideas and ways of working.

The post will be on a part time basis to cover maternity leave.

The school expect the candidate to:

 Have a working knowledge of teachers’ professional duties, standards and legal liabilities;

 Share a commitment to giving every child the opportunity to reach their potential and have

high expectations;

 Contribute to the corporate life of the school through effective participation in meetings

and management systems necessary to coordinate the management of the school;

 Take responsibility for their own professional development and duties in relation to school

policies and practices;

 Liaise effectively with other colleagues, parents and governors and encourage parental

involvement in their own class and in the school.

 Take on any additional responsibilities which might from time to time be determined.
