Protocol Education are recruiting Cover Supervisors / Unqualified Teachers in the North Bristol area. You do not need to be a qualified teacher; if you have done youth work, mentoring, or been in a role involving leadership or guidance, then you have the transferable skills needed for the role. We offer roles in convenient locations near you that are flexible to your availability, whether you want to work 2 days or 5. You’ll get the freedom to choose your days, the chance to build positive relationships with different schools, and competitive pay every week. Long-term opportunities are also available if you want consistency and routine.

Cover Supervisor (Unqualified Teacher) – Secondary Schools around North Bristol (Roles also available in South, Central Bristol & South Gloucestershire)

Pay: £100–£140 per day
Contract: Day-today and long term available
Start Date: As soon as you’re ready

What you'll be doing:

• Stepping into lessons across a range of subjects (no lesson planning required)
• Delivering pre-set work and keeping students engaged
• Managing behaviour in a calm, confident way, communicating with warmth and consistency
• Building quick rapport with students, keeping relationships encouraging, professional and productive

Experience that works well in this role:

• Sports coaching or youth work – if you can manage a football team, you can manage a class
• Teaching Assistant or Learning Mentor experience – already familiar with the school atmosphere? Even better
• Delivering presentations to large groups, particularly of children/teens
• Drama, tutoring, Scouts/Guides leadership – anything that involves leading, guiding, and keeping young minds focused

What we’re looking for:

• A confident communicator who can lead a room
• Someone with a warm, encouraging, positive nature
• Flexible and reliable, eager to support the schools in your area when they need you
• Good sense of humour and a calm approach to challenges
• Degree not essential, but it’s a bonus

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
