Salary: £15 - £20 per hour

I am currently looking for a Tutor to work across the general Middlesbrough and Redcar-In-Cleveland areas, who has a strong passion for child welfare and a general passion for both children and education.

The position involves working with local Teesside councils and authorities providing alternative education to vulnerable and looked after children on a 1:1 basis, who may display some challenging and complex behaviours. You may also be working with children who have additional special needs such as Autism and developmental delays. The role would be suitable for those looking for a flexible working time rota, and also allow you to work outside of a classroom environment.

The students face daily challenges in managing their emotions and have experienced past neglect or have attachment issues, so it is very important for us to find the right person who is looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of some of Teesside's most vulnerable neglected children. Due to the travel involved this role may not be suitable for those who use public transport, so a driver would be preferred but not essential.

Key Qualifications and qualities required:

·Recognised QTS or QTLS, or a relevant higher education degree.
·An ability to plan, deliver and assess across the relevant key stage needed.
·Team Teach training (not mandatory, but would be desirable)
·An empathetic and understand person who can deliver with a personal approach
·A genuine interest to help those in need with a nurturing approach that comes naturally
·Being able to remain focused and calm, be reactive to potential issues that may occur with the ability to recognise triggers and diffuse the situation before escalation

If this role sounds like something you would be interested in or you would like to have a more informal chat about, please send me a copy of your C.V and I will be in contact promptly.
