Protocol Education is currently hiring for transitional teaching assistants for a school in Durham. They require a Team Teach qualified, primary trained teaching assistant with experience supporting vulnerable young people with SEMH issues and exhibiting behaviour that challenges.

These vulnerable young people have experienced trauma, adverse childhood experiences and mental health issues. They exhibit challenging behaviour and need compassionate, caring individuals to provide them with both educational and pastoral support.

The role requires travel and could be based in Ferry Hill, Lanchester or Langley Hill. There is potential it will move back to Aycliffe following support in those locations.

Requirements
• Experience supporting SEMH
• Primary experience
• Team Teach Trained
• DBS on Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
• Ability to drive/transport
