Protocol Education is working with secondary schools across Peterlee looking to recruit Trainee Teaching Assistants to join their teams this September.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, career changers or anyone passionate about supporting young people. You'll gain valuable experience supporting students aged 11-16 both inside and outside the classroom.

Role Details

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• Working hours between 8:30am-3:30pm and 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only
• Long-term role

Responsibilities

• Supporting students in lessons
• Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
• Helping pupils stay engaged with learning
• Supporting behaviour and wellbeing
• Building positive relationships with students
• Working alongside teaching staff

We're looking for

• Excellent communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Passion for education
• Willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
