Trainee Teaching assistant
Protocol Education are working with a South Tyneside school to recruit 3 graduate trainee teaching assistants.
As part of your role as a graduate teaching assistant , you will work with children with a range special educational needs, including ASC, SEMH and ADHD. You should be confident with de-escalation strategies and ideally be aware of strategies of how to handle challenging behaviours. Ideally you will have experience of working with children in some capacity or with adults with SEND. This role may also be suitable for recent graduates considering a career in teaching.
You will join a large SEND team supporting children aged 11-16 to access a mainstream curriculum. This role would be most suited to a graduate who is interested in career in teaching.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
