This is a structured trainee opportunity within a specialist SEN provision where pupils are supported holistically to achieve both academically and personally. The setting places strong emphasis on teamwork, inclusion, and ensuring every learner’s needs are understood and met.

You’ll be joining a collaborative staff team who are committed to creating a positive, nurturing environment where pupils with additional needs can thrive.


Your role

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH and communication difficulties
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning styles
  • Work closely with staff to review and support EHCP targets, ensuring pupils are progressing in line with their plans
  • Observe pupil engagement and behaviour, providing feedback to the wider team
  • Help create a safe, structured and supportive classroom environment
  • Support pupils both academically and socially, promoting independence and confidence
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including SENCOs and therapists where required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
