Job description
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Tracheostomy assistant to support across a busy special educational needs School in the Rotherham area

Salary: Negotiable dependant on additional qualifications and experience

Previous experience working with children in complex care is required and you must be fully qualified to support with Tracheostomy. Additionally, it is an advantage if you have also been trained in the following: Ventilator, PEG, Brain Injury, Spinal Injury and Learning Disability.

Role requirements:
- Must be qualified in tracheostomy, with paediatric or adolescent experience.
- Must be available for full time on a long-term basis.
- Must be able to travel to Rotherham on a daily basis
- Must have a good understanding of SEN, and the needs some students may additionally have
- Must be kind and caring in nature, with a genuine interest in caring for these vulnerable students
- Preferably will have worked within a SEN School
- Preferably will be qualified in additional PMLD support e.g. Hoist, PEG, ventilator
