Job description
Head of Over Two's

(In charge of Toddler and Preschool rooms)

We are currently recruiting for a friendly, team spirited nursery setting in Twickenham

Full Time Permanent role
40 hours a week
Salary up to £25,000 per annum
Must be qualified to a minimum L3 in Childcare Education
This is a room based management role responsible for the day-to-day leadership within a team and being a positive role model of good practice.

The role will involve overseeing the Toddler and Pre School rooms, supervising the staff in both rooms. You will have key children and you will support and deputise for the Nursery Manager.

This is an ideal role for a Deputy Manager previously or has been a Third in Charge or head of Room and is looking for a new challenge.

You need to be minimum L3 qualified in Early Years to make sure that the children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment. You will need to have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role either a Nursery Room Leader or Nursery Room Manager or Deputy Manager where you have provided effective line management to a small team.

You will have a proven track record in mentoring a small team and managing issues with children, parents and staff as they arise. You will need to be committed to helping children thrive and get the best start in life.

You will need a warm and positive approach, lots of creative ideas and a willingness to work as part of a team.

You will need a good standard of general education, such as GCSEs, including English and Maths.
Full working knowledge of the EYFS framework
Able to follow Health and Safety procedures and policies
Understanding of Safe guarding within a nursery setting
Able to motivate, delegate and lead.
