Job description
A lovely nursery in Romford is looking for a nursery chef on a temporary basis to join their wonderful friendly team. The job involves cooking 3 meals and two snacks a day for 20-25 pre-school children.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide healthy balanced, seasonal nutritious freshly prepared meals and snacks in line with food safety regulations
• Be involved in the adhering to budgets and financial targets and forecasts according to actual attendance
• Maintain stock levels and ordering new supplies
• Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen, including regular high and low level cleaning of surfaces and equipment

You will need:

• Food Safety or Hygiene Level 2 (Desirable)
• Experience within a large catering operation which prepares meals with fresh ingredients (12 minimum)
• Good communication and Organisational skills
• High Standards of personal hygiene
• A current and up to date DBS (Desirable, this can be completed as part of successful application)
