I am working with a school based in County Durham who are looking for an experienced Technology Technician to start in July through into the new academic year.
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Technology department to ensure the smooth running of the department and lessons.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Daily/Lesson Preparation
- Preparing, setting up and checking equipment before lessons.
- Ensure hand tools are stored correctly and in optimum condition.
- Regularly maintain the equipment and tools in the workshop and computer suite.
- Repair or organise repairs of equipment if necessary.
- Keep the classrooms organized and free from hazards.
General
- Organise materials and tools in the Department.
- Stock taking and ordering of materials and equipment.
- To provide support for teachers during practical lessons.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are met.
