Job description
Are you looking to broaden your teaching experience and gain new skills?
We need Cover Supervisors and Unqualified Teachers in Melton Mowbray of all subject specialisms for day to day cover and long term positions in Secondary Schools and Colleges.
Protocol Education would like to connect and build relationships with passionate and talented graduates or professionals who have education based experience with children and young people. Becoming a Cover Supervisor with Protocol Eduction often leads to our candidates being invited to train for and gain qualified teacher status (QTS)via SCITT programmes or equivalent and provides them with varied and enriching experiences before they apply for teacher training courses of their own accord.
So, what is the role of a Cover Supervisor?
  • You will be in charge of supervising and controlling a classroom in a Secondary School setting
  • Facilitating a variety of subjects based on the planning left for you by the regular class teachers
  • Supporting students with their work on a 1:1, small group and most commonly whole class basis
  • Covering a variety of lessons within KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Year 7 to 13)
Is it for me?
  • Do you hold a University qualification and looking to gain more education based experience before applying for your PGCE or equivalent?
  • Do you hold QTLS or perhaps you're FE trained and considering teaching at Secondary level
  • You must be a clear and confident communicator with the ability to inspire and motivate pupils
  • Be flexible in receiving work on a day to day basis (at least 3 days per week) or longer term basis
  • Have access to your own transport (desirable but not essential)
  • Must be reliable, efficient and trustworthy

£250 will be paid if you are able to successfully recommend a Teacher to Protocol who then joins us, you can make as many recommendations as you like!
