Job description
As a SEND Support specialist (Special educational needs) LSA working with pupils with SEMH or EBD, you have the ability to inspire all those around you and you can make a difference in the life of a disadvantaged child!

SEND LSA's help pupils reach their full potential as students that are likely to attend a Pupil Referral Unit, SEBD School or an Alternative Provision/Charity. As an LSA, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to.

The main responsibilities of this role will be to support student's behaviour, developing social skills , encouraging pupils to focus and give them structure to their day incorporating creative and clear structured activities. This is primarily a class based position however it's very likely you will end up doing 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student's behaviour and learning.
