Job description
SEN Teaching Assistants - North West Leeds

We are currently looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to work in specialist setting based in North West Leeds. This schools provides an education for students with autism and associated conditions. The particular groups you are working with could be KS2, 3, 4 and 5. If you have experience in supporting young people with autism or have worked in a an alternative setting to mainstream then this will be a distinct advantage.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification or be prepared to train for one and have a passion for working with young people aged 7-19. The work can be very rewarding; however it can also be challenging to so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students have challenging home lives and have complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are high on the autistic spectrum and some occasionally present some challenging behaviours.
