Job description
A special needs school based in the heart of Newham is looking to appoint an experienced and SEND teacher to start in September.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced special needs teacher who has worked with autism and challenging behaviours. You will be working with primary aged pupils in small groups and in 1:1 situations encouraging and assisting them in the classroom. Ideally you will have worked across the primary phase planning and preparing within an SEN curriculum and understand how important it is to tailor education to specific needs.

The role will based in a special school for pupils with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs. It caters for pupils on a split site - Years R to Year 7 at the and Years 8 to 11 at a different site. The school is in the London Borough of Newham, an ethnically diverse inner-city area. Pupils are taught in small classes with a high adult to pupil ratio

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
