Primary SEN Support Teaching Assistant

We're looking for a calm, caring and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Key Stage 2 pupil with an autism profile in a welcoming primary school in the Bromley Heath area.

You'll be an important part of the child's day, helping them access learning, build confidence, develop independence and celebrate every success, no matter how big or small. Alongside individual support, you'll also work with small groups and become part of a friendly, supportive SEN team.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with an EHCP
  • Helping the pupil engage with classroom learning and daily routines
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive social interactions
  • Encouraging independence and resilience
  • Delivering small group interventions when required
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and social communication needs
  • Knowledge of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Confidence helping children regulate emotions and maintain focus
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with children, staff and families
  • A genuine passion for helping every child thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
