An amazing Special Needs school require friendly, caring, empathetic and reliable teaching assistants to join their support team. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with Special Education Needs pupils is desirable, but not essential. Those wishing to gain experience in this field are more than welcome to apply for the position. Training can be provided to successful candidates.

This Special Educational Needs & Disabilities school are based in the Leicestershire area, and support pupils aged between 8 and 18 years with a variety of special needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and Aspergers.

All applicants must be willing to assist with personal care when required. The school promote the pupils to be independent where possible and a nurturing approach so pupils can learn and succeed throughout their educational journey.

Teaching Assistants with Team Teach & NAPPI training are highly desirable but not essential.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Monday Friday
8.30am – 4.00pm
£70 - £80 per day

Ideal Candidate:
Previous SEN experience - highly desirable but not essential
Willing to provide personal care

Caring & Nurturing
PECS or Makaton experience - desirable but not essential
Team Teach & NAPPI - highly desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
