We are working with a Outstanding Special Educational Needs School who are expanding. The school caters for children aged 3-19 years old and is located in Tonbridge. The pupils have profound, sever and complex needs, many of whom are on the autistic spectrum. 

We are looking for multiple Teaching Assistants to join the team and help them provide a personalised learning approach to support the pupils. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN children and be able to manage challenging behaviour.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • managing challenging behaviour
  • Planning, observing and assessing
  • Executing lesson plans set by the class teacher
  • Carrying out reading and writing interventions
  • Taking small groups
  • Assisting children in developing positive behaviour

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEND Children
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Passion for helping pupils reach their full potential.
