Protocol Education are working with a specialist school in Rochester who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who can provide support for children with additional needs, particularly autism. The school is an independent school, welcoming students with unique learning profiles. The school specialise in supporting children with autism, alongside their own internal provisions for Speech and Language and Occupational therapy. The school provides small class sizes to allow a more focused approach on each individual child, this ensures teachers and teaching assistants can establish strong relationships with the children and support them in the best way possible.
The school extends its provision into the college years; offering vocational subjects such as Hair & Beauty, catering, woodwork and art & design. The college can provide excellent resources and dedicated spaces for its subjects. Once a week, the college is open to the public offering a coffee shop/ restaurant as well as hairdressing and beauty treatments.
With a team of dedicated staff, the school aims to ensure every aspect of their children's holistic, educational journey is met with the right care and encouragement to maximise potential in every way possible. The school mirror a mainstream curriculum, whilst providing a sense of 'home' and community to the children; their specialist provision allows the children enough freedom to enjoy school life into their college years, providing bespoke learning in many subjects to give students a pathway into employment.
Pay is dependant on experience and role requirements.

- Full time- Monday to Friday, 08:30am- 15:30pm
Applicants must live in, and hold Right to Work in the UK.
All applicants will need a current DBS on the update service, or be willing to process a new application.
You should:
- Have an enhanced BDS on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Have a CV covering 10 years (this can include education)
- Be able to provide 2 years worth of references
